My $17 one allows for everything.
I recall that my generic eBay cable forced VCDS to work in shareware mode. I could do some stuff, but not everything.

I went ahead and ordered one from Ross-com. Still learning how to use it. I fixed my radio!

Got it a few days ago, cable and software inlcuded 12.12 Ross Tech, works perfect - compared cable to actual ross tech and only difference is that the head is flipped and the pins arent gold.
Whatevs $24 for vagcom

Re: VCDS (Ross-Tech VAGCOM)
Just wanted to put it out there that I picked up a microCAN from Ross-Tech a few days ago and I am willing to help out those who need to use it.
Keep in mind I am an amateur user of the software so I am not going to know how to do too much, but the software is decently user friendly.
FYI, the microCAN can be used only on MKV and newer vehicles.

For you fixed the problem, it should go off on its own.
