Apparently changing the water pump is a process! This was yesterday. Stopped to get all new belts since so much was removed and they had to be ordered. After husband gets home from working all day, he gets to put it all back together. With any luck, this will fix our overheating problems once and for all!

It's VW coolant with dye in it from when we were first trying to find the leak. Pretty ugly urine looking crap now!

I have MKIV rear calipers on my MKII. So no, the springs are not compatible on MKII rear calipers.

gotcha. thanks.

been wanting to do the conversion, but with my recent electrical woes I haven't had time or money to pull the rear beam and get all that going.

I hear ya, man. When you get to it, no need to pull the rear beam. Just swap the stub axles, and re-bend the brake hard-lines.

it's going to be an all at once kinda thing. need to do the beam bushings pretty badly...lol
