Bylaws

General

1. To be eligible for Sacwater membership, you must own a Volkswagen or Audi (special exemptions can be brought to the board).
2. Official club board positions are President, Vice President and Treasurer. The three person board will make decisions in the best interests of the club. President oversees all decisions made within the club, Vice President helps organize events, and Treasurer holds the cash, shirts and stickers.
3. An annual official club meeting will be held every January to elect officials and discuss any other business.
4. Quarterly meetings to be held during May, August, November & Annual meeting in January.
5. Official officer term is February 1-January 31st. During the time between elections the outgoing cabinet are not able to make any changes to the club.
6. Notes from all official meetings will be posted on the site for 2 weeks after meeting
7. New club business will directed thru the club board and added to the next meeting’s agenda. To ratify any new business it must be passed with a 2/3rds vote of the members in attendance.
8. Meeting agenda and all items to be discussed & Voted on to be posted with (2) weeks notice of meeting.
9. The club website (http://www.sacwater.net) is an extension of the club. All bylaws set forth in the constitution and site terms of agreement are applicable to the site. Any behavior set forth on the Sacwater site or any other sites that is deemed detrimental to the image of the club will be handled by The Board. ( you may lose your privileges to use the boards and/or asked to leave Sacwater.)
10. Any behavior by a member that is deemed detrimental to the image of the club runs risk of being asked to leave or membership being revoked.
11. Any member witnessed to be street racing with the Sacwater sticker on their car will be asked to remove the sticker or even dismissed from the club.
12. Absentee voting is allowed to deployed, temporary assigned, and re-stationed military only. This does not apply with being local and just having to be at work. All absentee ballots will be sent to the Treasurer for counting. They will be sent via PM to any Military members that request one. They will be sent out one week before any election or matter that is being voted on.

Weekly GTG's and Shows

1. No burnouts, reckless driving, excessive engine revving or loud stereos.
2. No drug use or excessive alcohol consumption.
3. Be respectful of local merchants the let us congregate in their parking lots I.E. Round Table Pizza and Willie's. Please pick up and dispose of all trash before leaving.
4. NO parking in the front row outside of Round Table Pizza.


Caravans and Shows
1. All caravans will have an appointed leader and sweeper.
2. Speed limit is set by group before caravan leaves.
3. Every car MUST have a 2-way radio. (If you do not have one let someone know before the day of the event and if you have extras please bring them for those that do not have one)
4. When in a caravan, stay in line and do not block traffic. (If you want to get pictures, get back in line as quickly as possible)
5. Those that do not comply with caravan rules will be asked to leave caravan.
6. In the spirit of Sacwater pride, members at shows/events will be expected to wear some sort of Sacwater apparel.

Membership

To join Sacwater, you must own a VW or an Audi (exceptions can be brought up with the board). Membership has a fee of $40 that includes a club mechanics shirt, (2) Sacwater stickers, and your club discount card

If you are interested in joining please make a post in the Sacwater club chat sub forum, Intent to join announcing your intention to become a member. To become a member you will be expected to attend at least 3 events, and 4 GTG's as well as a 3 month waiting period (where the events and GTG requirements can be met). You will also need to have several members vouch for you as this shows you are getting to know people and becoming part of the community.

Forums

The Forums are how our club is perceived by the outside world. When online, members will conduct themselves appropriately. Any forum member (Sacwater member or not) will be expected to respect other members. There will be no disrespecting other members. Failure to comply will result in a temporary or permanent ban. Ban's from the forums will be decided by board members and moderators.

This is now the chosen constitution as of 7/21/12. It now supersedes the above constitution

THIS IS THE NEW CONSTITUTION AS OF 10/20/2012. IT SUPERSEDES THE ABOVE CONSTITUTION. This constitution seems bigger than the above one due to the second page being included cause people were asking about it.

Bylaws

General

1. To be eligible for SacWater membership, you must own a Volkswagen or Audi (special exemptions can be brought to the board).
2. Official club board positions are President, Vice President and Treasurer. The three person board will make decisions in the best interests of the club. President oversees all decisions made within the club, Vice President helps organize events, Treasurer holds the cash, shirts and stickers.
3. An annual official club meeting will be held every January to elect officials and discuss any other business.

THIS IS THE NEW CONSTITUTION AS OF 01/21/2017. IT SUPERSEDES THE ABOVE CONSTITUTION.

Bylaws

General

1. To be eligible for Sacwater membership, you must own a Volkswagen or Audi (special exemptions can be brought to the board).
2. Official club board positions are President, Vice President and Treasurer. The three person board will make decisions in the best interests of the club. President oversees all decisions made within the club, Vice President helps organize events, and Treasurer holds the cash, shirts and stickers.
3. An annual official club meeting will be held every January to elect officials and discuss any other business.
4. The path of succession is as follows: VPOS (Vice President of Sacwater) would become POS (President of Sacwater), Treasurer would become VPOS. The Treasurer position would continue with the previous Treasurer (now the VPOS) until the treasurer position was filled or the VPOS position was filled.
5. In the event of mid-term office changes the cabinet will appoint and fill the vacant office.
6. If no office spot is filled with current yearly election, then that open spot goes to the next highest power, I.E. Treasurer would shift to Vice President, Vice president would shift to President.
7. In the event that the General Election happens, and there is not a new cabinet elected, then the following will occur:
7A. Current President would stay in place until the next meeting of one year later. Sacwater would not take any new members during this time. The current president would act as a contact point.
7B. If the meeting that occurs one year later does not generate a new cabinet, then the club would be disbanded. The club funds would be donated to the Shriners Hospital and the bank account closed. The forums would be shut down, closing the public areas. Members only would be open still for informational purposes, with restricted posting until a new cabinet is put in place. The restricted posting would be limited to Scott the Admin.
7C.The club funds would remain in the bank account. The only expenditures out of the account would be the monthly bank fee. The bank account access would remain limited to the President and Treasurer during this time. Club stickers, shirts and banners would be the responsibility of the President and Treasurer.
7D. If either the President or Treasurer do not want physical custody of the club property, then another person can be entrusted with the property with approval from the President.
7E. The forums would be shut down except for Members only, closing the public areas. The forums would be reactivated with the electing of a new cabinet.
8. Quarterly meetings to be held during May, August, November & Annual meeting in January.
9. Official officer term is February 1-January 31st. During the time between elections the outgoing cabinet are not able to make any changes to the club.
10. Notes from all official meetings will be posted on the site for 2 weeks after meeting
11. New club business will directed thru the club board and added to the next meeting’s agenda. To ratify any new business it must be passed with a 2/3rds vote of the members in attendance.
12. Meeting agenda and all items to be discussed & Voted on to be posted with (2) weeks notice of meeting.
13. The club website (http://www.sacwater.net) is an extension of the club. All bylaws set forth in the constitution and site terms of agreement are applicable to the site. Any behavior set forth on the Sacwater site or any other sites that is deemed detrimental to the image of the club will be handled by The Board. ( you may lose your privileges to use the boards and/or asked to leave Sacwater.)
14. Any behavior by a member that is deemed detrimental to the image of the club, runs the risk of being asked to leave, or membership being revoked.
15. Any member witnessed to be street racing with the Sacwater sticker on their car will be asked to remove the sticker or even dismissed from the club.
16. Absentee voting is allowed to deployed, temporary assigned, and re-stationed military only. This does not apply with being local and just having to be at work. All absentee ballots will be sent to the Treasurer for counting. They will be sent via PM to any Military members that request one. They will be sent out one week before any election or matter that is being voted on.

Weekly GTG's and Shows

1. No burnouts, reckless driving, excessive engine revving or loud stereos.
2. No drug use or excessive alcohol consumption.
3. Be respectful of local merchants the let us congregate in their parking lots I.E. Steve's Pizza and Willie's. Please pick up and dispose of all trash before leaving.
4. NO parking in the front row outside of Steve’s Pizza.


Caravans and Shows
1. All caravans will have an appointed leader and sweeper.
2. Speed limit is set by group before caravan leaves.
3. Every car MUST have a 2-way radio. (If you do not have one let someone know before the day of the event and if you have extras please bring them for those that do not have one)
4. When in a caravan, stay in line and do not block traffic. (If you want to get pictures, get back in line as quickly as possible)
5. Those that do not comply with caravan rules will be asked to leave caravan.
6. In the spirit of Sacwater pride, members at shows/events will be expected to wear some sort of Sacwater apparel.

Membership

To join Sacwater, you must own a VW or an Audi (exceptions can be brought up with the board). Membership has a fee of $40 that includes a club mechanics shirt, (2) Sacwater stickers, and your club discount card.

Forums

The Forums are how our club is perceived by the outside world. When online, members will conduct themselves appropriately. Any forum member (Sacwater member or not) will be expected to respect other members. There will be no disrespecting other members. Failure to comply will result in a temporary or permanent ban. Bans from the forums will be decided by board members and moderators.[/quote]
