I'm seriously considering buying a '13 Golf R with a blown #4 cylinder. The extent of the damage isn't know yet, but I assume it's going to need machine work. I know the car's history and it's been taken care of minus some extra boost. I may pull the lump myself and bring it in or just flatbed it in...

BBS just replied to me, which was quite the surprise! There was a "race" version that was sold on a very select few BMW applications, and some other European applications made of Magnesium, but all BBS RA wheels sold on American Volkswagens were indeed cast aluminum. Nice! Let the vortex ...
